Jamshedpur, Feb 28: In a breakthrough, the police arrested two persons in connection with the murder of 33-year-old youth Taklu Lohar under the Sitaramdera area on February 1.
Those arrested were identified as Saurabh Yadav (22) and Raghunath Manna (23), both residents of Parsudih and Kadma respectively, thus making the total number of arrests in connection with the incident to four.
While arresting the duo, the police have recovered the pistol used in the murder, ammunition and two mobile phones from the arrested persons.
Revealing about the breakthrough, senior SP, Kishore Kaushal said that Raghunath Manna was the conspirator whereas Saurabh was the main shooter.

“Both Saurabh and Raghunath had fled the city soon after launching the gun-shot attack. The duo had returned back and were eventually nabbed from a place in Pardih Chowk along the NH-33 on Tuesday evening,” said the senior SP while talking to the media persons on Wednesday afternoon.
Both assailants sent to jail
Kaushal pointed out that after the murder of Taklu Lohar, he had set up a team which had succeeded in arresting two persons namely Sujal Bahadur and Munna Adhikari for their involvement in the case. He said the conspirator and the shooter were absconding.
The senior police officer said both Saurabh Yadav and Raghunath Manna who had already criminal records were forwarded to jail after their production before a judicial magistrate today.
Taklu Lohar fatally shot on Feb 1
Taklu Lohar who had also a dubious background had sustained fatal injuries as he fell victim to a gunshot attack by bike-borne criminals at his motor garage where he was busy at work on February 1 evening.
Taklu was rushed to MGM Medical College Hospital (MGMMCH) and subsequently shifted to Tata Main Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries the same night.
