Jamshedpur, April 16: Brace for a severe summer, said weathermen today.
The maximum temperature is expected to witness a 3-4 °C rise during the next three days, said a bulletin issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre.
The maximum reading has again touched 40 degrees Celsius in Jamshedpur, Seraikela, Godda, Deoghar and several other places.
The day reading is expected to witness a further rise in the next few days.

According to weathermen, the day’s reading is again expected to cross 40 degrees in most places.
The Ranchi Met Centre also issued an alert of Loo, dry and hot wind blowing in the plains, in southern and central Jharkhand.
Today’s satellite pictures suggested a cyclonic circulation over eastern Bihar and neighbourhood at 0.9 km above mean sea level.
The Met centre ruled out the possibility of rain during the next 72 hours.
