Jamshedpur, May 7: IMD today withdrew the alert of heat wave conditions which most parts of Jharkhand have been experiencing for the last two weeks.
The weather conditions took a turn since last evening due to thundershowers activity in several places.
Some places including Patamda in East Singhbhum witnessed hails.
Today, thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by gusty wind (max wind speed: 40-50 kmph) are likely at isolated places over the state.
Light to moderate rain with thunderstorms is also likely at a few places over the state today.

Weathermen predicted three to four degrees fall in maximum temperature during the next 72 hours.
Tomorrow, May 8, light to moderate rain with thunderstorms is expected at many places over the state.
Satellite pictures suggested that the cyclonic circulation over sub-Himalayan West Bengal and adjoining west Assam was lying over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and the neighbourhood extending up to 1.5 km above mean sea level.
A trough runs from Meghalaya to the cyclonic circulation over Marathwada across the cyclonic circulation over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Jharkhand,
Odisha, south Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha at 0.9 km above the mean sea level.
