Jamshedpur, Feb 12:  IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre today issued a forecast of light rain in isolated areas of northern and adjoining central parts of the state.

Satellite pictures suggested that a trough was running from south interior Karnataka to west Vidarbha across north interior Karnataka and Marathwada at 0.9 km above the mean sea level.

Tomorrow (Tuesday) and the next day on Wednesday light to moderate rain is expected at a few places over the state while on Thursday, February 15 light rain is likely at isolated places over the state.

Ranchi Met Centre also predicted a three to four degrees rise in minimum temperature during the next 72 hours.

Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed over the state during the past 24 hours.

The highest maximum temperature of 29.4°C was recorded at Chaibasa while the lowest minimum temperature of 7.2°C was recorded at Deoghar.
