Ranchi, August 3: The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heavy rainfall in two districts of Jharkhand, indicating a high likelihood of heavy rains in these areas.
Additionally, an orange alert has been issued for five districts, while a yellow alert has been issued for Ranchi and four other districts. An orange alert signifies the possibility of moderate rainfall, whereas a yellow alert indicates light rain.
Specifically, the department has issued a red alert for Garhwa and Palamu, an orange alert for Chatra, Latehar, Lohardaga, Gumla, and Simdega, and a yellow alert for Koderma, Hazaribag, Ramgarh, Ranchi, and Khunti.

The Meteorological Department has also provided warnings about the potential impacts of these weather conditions.
The Meteorological Department advises people to seek shelter in safe, sturdy buildings and avoid taking refuge under trees. During strong winds, agricultural activities should be temporarily suspended, and individuals should stay away from electric poles and wires.
People are also advised to monitor the deteriorating weather conditions closely and be prepared to move to safe locations as needed.
