Jamshedpur, Dec 10: The minimum temperature would gradually witness a fall across Jharkhand as the impact of the Western Disturbance waned.
According to IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre’s forecast, the minimum temperature is expected to witness a fall of 3-5 degrees Celsius during the next 72 hours.
A forecast of shallow to moderate fog was also issued for the next three to four days.
Meanwhile, dense fog was experienced at several isolated places early in the morning today.
The fog resulted in poor visibility just after sunrise. At several places the surface visibility was reduced to as low as 800 metres.
Today’s satellite pictures suggested that the Western Disturbance as a cyclonic circulation over central Pakistan and neighbourhood was lying over Northwest Uttar Pradesh between 1.5 and 3.1 Km above the mean sea level.
The Western Disturbance has resulted in an abrupt rise in night readings while the day temperature has witnessed a fall.
