Jamshedpur, April 23: Thundershowers accompanied by lightning are expected to take place at a few isolated places in southern and central Jharkhand today, said a forecast issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre.
The Met office prediction shows no alerts for tomorrow.
Heat wave conditions were not prevailing anywhere in the state today as the maximum temperature witnessed a drop yesterday.
The day’s reading came down below 40 degrees Celsius at several places.

However, weathermen are keeping fingers crossed. Heat wave conditions are again likely to prevail at isolated pockets of East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum and Saraikela-Kharswan districts of the Kolhan division of the state from April 25, Thursday.
On Friday, April 26, heat wave conditions are likely to prevail at isolated pockets of East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum and Saraikela-Kharswan districts of the Kolhan division and Bokaro, Dhanbad districts of North Chhotanagpur division; Deoghar, Jamtara, Godda, Pakur, Dumka and Shahibganj districts of the Santhal division of the state.
