Jharkhand Weather: Thundershowers and hail alert for next 72 hours

Jamshedpur, April 1: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued an alert of thundershowers and hail in isolated areas of Jharkhand in the next three days.

According to the forecast, thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by gusty wind (max wind speed: 40-50 kmph) are likely to occur at isolated places over western and adjoining central parts of the state on Wednesday, April 2.

On Thursday, April 3 hail accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, gusty wind (max wind speed: 50-60 kmph) is likely to occur at isolated places over southern and adjoining central parts of the state.

Thunderstorms and lightning, gusty wind (max wind speed: 40-50 kmph) is also  expected  at isolated places over north-western and north-central parts of the state on Thursday.

On Friday, April 4, hail accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, gusty wind (max wind speed: 50-60 kmph) is likely to occur at isolated places over south-eastern and adjoining central and north-eastern parts of the state.

Thunderstorm and lightning, gusty wind (max wind speed: 40-50 kmph) are also likely to occur at isolated places over South-western, north-eastern and north-central parts of the state on Thursday.

The forecast suggested a gradual rise in maximum temperature by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in the next couple of days.
