Jamshedpur, April 9: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued an alert of thundershowers and lightning in western parts of Jharkhand today.
Some of the isolated places in districts like Garhwa, Palamu, Koderma, Latehar and Lohardaga are expected to experience thundershowers and lightning.
Satellite pictures suggested that a trough or wind discontinuity was running from north coastal Andhra Pradesh to south Tamil Nadu across Rayalaseema in lower tropospheric levels.
A fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect the Western Himalayan Region from April 10.

According to the forecast, tomorrow thunderstorms and lightning are likely to occur at isolated places over southern and central parts of the state.
On Thursday, April 11 thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by gusty wind (max wind speed: 30-40 kmph) are likely at isolated places over southern and central parts of the state.
Met statistics suggested that most of the districts recorded a maximum temperature of less than 40 degrees Celsius during the past two days.
