Jharkhand Women’s Badminton Championship to begin on March 7

Dhanbad, Feb 27: The Jharkhand State Women’s Badminton Championship will take place at the Tata Steel Badminton Training Centre and Mohan Ahuja Stadium in Jamshedpur from March 7 to March 10.

This four-day tournament is being organized by the Jharkhand Badminton Association and is sanctioned by the Sports Authority of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

K Prabhakar Rao, General Secretary of the Jharkhand Badminton Association, informed that the championship will feature events for girls under-17, under-19, and women’s singles. “All interested players are required to register on the Asmita Portal of Khelo India and create an Asmita ID,” he said.

He further clarified that players without an active or existing BAI ID are also eligible to participate in the tournament. The last date for entries in this prize-money tournament is March 4.
