Dhanbad, Dec 12: Jharkhand Junior Doctors’ Network (JDN) General Secretary Dr. Raghvendra Kumar has been selected for the prestigious IMA JDN Chairman’s National Appreciation Award for distinguished services in 2025.

He is among eight young doctors chosen from across the country for this honour. Dr. Raghvendra, a Senior Resident at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College and Hospital (MGMMCH), Jamshedpur, becomes the first young doctor from Jharkhand to receive this award.

The award will be presented at the IMA JDN National Convention scheduled to be held in Ahmedabad on December 27.

The other awardees include: Dr. Indranil Deshmukh (Maharashtra), Dr. Arijit Rumu Baruah (Assam), Dr. Garima (Chandigarh), Dr. Srudhi Pugazhendi (Tamil Nadu), Dr. Vivek KB (Kerala), Dr. Ngamba Akham (Manipur), and Dr. Rahul Anand (Rajasthan).
Dr. Raghvendra has been recognised for his outstanding contribution in implementing national IMA JDN programmes and strengthening the organisation’s presence in Jharkhand.

Office-bearers of the Jharkhand chapters of the IMA, JDN, Junior Doctors Association, and several medical bodies extended their congratulations to Dr. Raghvendra on this achievement.
