Jammu, Feb 20: A number of development projects totalling over Rs 32,000 crore for the road, railway, aviation, and education sectors were launched and the foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Jammu on Tuesday.

PM Modi was welcomed at the Jammu technical airport by Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, Union Minister Jitendra Singh, and well-known BJP figures, including J-K unit president Ravinder Raina, under increased security measures.

A sizable crowd has gathered at the Maulana Azad Stadium for the event from all over Jammu and Kashmir.

In addition, PM Modi officially flagged off the first electric train service in the valley, along with the train service connecting Sangaldan station to Baramulla station.

The PM also gave appointment orders to around 1500 newly recruited Jammu and Kashmir government employees during the program.
