The operation was carried out based on information provided by an arrested doctor, Adil Ahmed Rather. Earlier, an AK-47 rifle and other weapons were also recovered from his personal locker at Government Medical College (GMC) in Anantnag.

According to police, Dr. Adil Ahmed Rather, a native of Kashmir, was arrested a few days ago and has since made several startling revelations during interrogation.

Investigations revealed that Adil and two of his associate doctors were attempting to revive the network of the terrorist organization Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind. The group was founded in 2017 by former Hizbul Mujahideen commander Zakir Musa, with the aim of establishing an Islamic state in Kashmir under Sharia law and waging jihad against India.

It is alleged that Dr. Muzamil had hidden the cache of weapons and explosives in Faridabad. Both Adil and Muzamil are currently in police custody, while the third doctor remains absconding.
