JMM did not fulfil its promise to pay unemployment allowance: PM Modi

Making a scathing attack on the JMM-led coalition government in the state the Prime Minister said during the election campaign in the 2019 assembly elections in the state the JMM had promised to pay unemployment allowance to the jobless youths but did anyone get such allowance.

“Like the Congress tried to grab power in the Centre by making false promise of paying Rs 1 lakh to each of the women, the JMM too has resorted to the same tactics to garner votes from women by launching Maiya Sanmaan Yojna just before the assembly elections,” he said.

Soren family is power-greedy: PM Modi

He stated that like the power-greedy Gandhi family, the Soren family is also power-greedy and not at all interested in doing anything for the development of the tribals.

“If the Soren family would think for the development of tribals, Champai Soren would not have been ousted from the chief minister post after Hemant Soren was released from the jail on bail, ” the visiting Prime Minister said.

Probe of ‘works’ done during JMM-led coalition govt’s tenure if BJP voted to power

Addressing the gathering, Modi asserted that the central government is committed to the development of Jharkhand and would bring about a sea-change of this mineral-rich state once the people vote the BJP to power once again.

“Whenever a party like JMM promises to give something, then you should be alert and beware as such parties tend to loot the people in the name of doing welfare works, ” said Modi.

He stated if the BJP-led NDA government comes to power, then he would ensure a thorough probe of ‘works’ done during the tenure of the JMM-led coalition government.

Narendra Modi had reached Jamshedpur by road from Ranchi instead of by air due to the inclement weather and the public meeting had been delayed by two hours.

Despite incessant rain, a huge crowd of people, including the ones coming from far away places in Kolhan had reached Gopal Maidaan to attend the meeting.
