New Delhi, August 2: Public sector national banks across the country have started the application process from August 1, for the recruitment examinations conducted by the ‘Institute of Banking Personnel Selection’ (IBPS).

These examinations are for positions of Probationary Officer (PO) / Management Trainee (MT) and Specialist Officer (SO) under the CRP PO/MT XIV and CRP SPL-XIV recruitment processes (IBPS PO SO Exam 2024).

4455 PO and 896 SO vacancies

IBPS has issued separate notifications for both recruitment examinations, announcing a total of 5,351 vacancies. This year, 4,455 vacancies have been advertised for the CRP PO/MT XIV examination and 896 vacancies for the CRP SPL-XIV examination.

The banks participating in the recruitment for PO/MT or SO positions through these examinations include the Bank of Baroda (BoB), Bank of India (BoI), Bank of Maharashtra (BoM), Canara Bank (CB), Central Bank of India (CI), Indian Bank (IB), Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), Punjab National Bank (PNB), Punjab & Sind Bank (PSB), UCO Bank (UCO Bank), Union Bank of India (UBI).

Candidates can register for the PO/SO exams conducted by IBPS by visiting the official website of the institute, www.ibps.in. The last date for application is 21 August.

Eligibility

To appear in IBPS PO/MT exam, candidates must be graduates in any subject whereas, for IBPS SO exam, candidates must be graduates/PG (different according to the posts) in the subject/stream related to the vacancies.

For both the exams, the age should not be less than 20 years and not more than 30 years as on 1st August 2014.

Relaxation in the maximum age limit will be given to the candidates of reserved categories as per the rules of the Central Government.
