Jamshedpur, September 8: The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) has appointed Krishna Bhalotia, Managing Director of Bebbco Motors Pvt Ltd, as the new FADA State Chairperson for Jharkhand.
Based in Jamshedpur, Bhalotia oversees dealerships of Toyota Kirloskar Motor, BharatBenz Trucks and Mahindra Cars. His appointment marks a change in leadership for the automobile dealers’ association in the state.
Meanwhile, FADA’s vehicle retail data for August 2026 showed 17.73% year-on-year growth in Jharkhand, pointing to improving consumer sentiment and increased activity in the state’s automobile market.
Passenger vehicle, two-wheeler sales post strong growth
Commenting on the August performance, Bhalotia described the month as “very positive” for the automobile industry in Jharkhand. He said the growth was encouraging for the dealer community, particularly as it was recorded across almost all major segments.
Passenger vehicle sales grew 23.20%, while two-wheeler sales increased 18.15%. Three-wheelers and construction equipment also recorded healthy growth, indicating improving market activity and consumer confidence.

“Customers are coming into the market with greater confidence. There is a willingness to upgrade, make new purchases and take advantage of new products and attractive finance schemes,” Bhalotia said.
Festive season expected to boost demand
Bhalotia said the upcoming festive season was further strengthening market sentiment and expressed optimism that the positive momentum would continue in the coming months.
The festive period traditionally brings increased demand for automobiles, with manufacturers and dealers offering new models, discounts and finance schemes to attract buyers.
Tractor sales remain a concern
However, the tractor segment bucked the overall positive trend, declining 7.80% in August.
Bhalotia described the decline as a concern given the importance of rural and agricultural demand to Jharkhand’s economy. He expressed hope that the segment would recover in the coming months.
“Overall, the mood in the automobile trade is positive. A growing automobile market is not just good news for dealers; it also reflects greater consumer confidence and economic activity,” he said.
Bhalotia added that automobile dealers were optimistic about stronger sales during the festive season and beyond.
