Jamshedpur, Nov 28: Light to moderate rain is likely at isolated places over the west, central and north-eastern parts of the state today, said a forecast issued by IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre.
Cyclonic circulation likely to impact weather
The western disturbance as a cyclonic circulation over central Pakistan and the neighbourhood persists and is seen between 3.1 Km and 9.4 Km above mean sea level.
The trough aloft in upper tropospheric westerlies now runs with its axis roughly along Long. 72°E to the north of Lat. 20°N at 12.0 Km above the mean sea level.

The Induced cyclonic circulation over northwest Rajasthan and the neighbourhood now lies over northern parts of Gujarat and adjoining south Rajasthan and extends up to 1.5 km above mean sea level.
The cyclonic circulation over central parts of north Madhya Pradesh persists and is seen at 1.5 km above mean sea level.
Under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over the South Andaman Sea, a low-pressure area has formed over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Malacca Strait.

It is likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify into a depression over the southeast Bay of Bengal around November 29.
Thereafter, it is likely to move northwestwards and intensify further into a cyclonic storm over the southeast Bay of Bengal during the subsequent 48 hours.
