Jamshedpur, June 5: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light rain and thundershowers at isolated places over the eastern part of the state today, June 5.

While some areas may experience brief spells of showers, dry weather is expected to prevail in most other regions over the next couple of days.

According to the latest forecast:

June 5 (Wednesday): Light rain/thundershowers likely at isolated places over the eastern part of the state.

June 6–7 (Thursday & Friday): Partly cloudy sky with dry weather expected across most regions.

June 8 (Saturday): Light rain or thundershowers may occur at isolated locations, particularly over the southeastern parts and adjoining areas of the state.

The northern limit of the Southwest Monsoon currently extends through 17.0°N/55°E, 17.5°N/60°E, 18°N/65°E, 18.5°N/70°E, Mumbai, Ahilyanagar, Adilabad, Bhawanipatna, Puri, Sandhead Island, 23.5°N/89.5°E, Balurghat, and 30°N/85°E, indicating that the monsoon has yet to fully cover the eastern and northern parts of the country.

In synoptic developments, the upper air cyclonic circulation over East Bihar at 0.9 Km above mean sea level has become less marked, which may influence reduced rain activity in the immediate term.

Residents are advised to stay updated with official IMD advisories and plan accordingly, especially in regions where localized thundershowers have been predicted.
