Jamshedpur, Dec 7: The impact of the recent cyclonic storm Michaung will be felt in Jharkhand today too.
Light to moderate showers have been predicted by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre in several parts of Jharkhand especially those located in southern and adjoining central parts.
Intermittent rains continued in Jamshedpur and several other districts of southern and central regions for the second consecutive day today.
The rain affected normal life. Weathermen said inclement weather condition would prevail in Jharkhand for the next 24 hours and that weather condition is expected to improve from December 9, Saturday.

The cyclonic storm weakened into a depression over Northeast Telangana and adjoining south Chhattisgarh-south interior Odisha-Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
It will further weaken into a well-marked low pressure area over the same region and the associated cyclonic circulation extending up to 5.8 km above the mean sea level.
Meanwhile, light to moderate rain occurred at many places over the state during the past 24 hours.
The highest rainfall recorded was 22.8 mm at Kurdege (Simdega).
The highest maximum temperature of 28.9°C was recorded at Godda while the lowest minimum temperature of 16.2°C was recorded at Ranchi.
