Earlier, at the request of the Indian government, Thai police had detained the two nightclub owners from Birch Bay Romeo Lane Night Club in Phuket. The brothers had fled to Thailand following the fire incident.

Notably, on the night of December 7, a fire broke out around midnight at a nightclub in Arpora, Goa, claiming 25 lives. Among the deceased were three people from Ranchi, Jharkhand, who were employed as cooks at the club.

According to local residents, fire safety norms were ignored at the nightclub. In connection with the case, Goa Police had earlier arrested the nightclub’s general manager and three staff members from the Arpora club.
