Jamshedpur, July 13: In a major relief for thousands of devotees visiting the revered Mahadevsal Temple during the annual Shravani Mela, the South Eastern Railway (SER) has announced temporary stoppages for 22 pairs of Mail, Express and MEMU trains at Mahadevsal railway station.

The special arrangement will remain in force from July 30 to August 28, following approval from the competent authority.

Each designated train will halt for two minutes, enabling pilgrims to conveniently board and alight at Mahadevsal station during the month-long religious fair.

Railway officials said the decision was taken in view of the massive influx of devotees to the Mahadevsal Temple every Shravan.

“The temporary stoppages are expected to significantly improve rail connectivity to the shrine, reduce congestion and ensure smoother movement of pilgrims,” officials said.

The South Eastern Railway has urged passengers to travel only with valid tickets and strictly follow the instructions of railway staff.
