New Delhi, July 29: Following the drowning death of three students in the basement of Rau IAS Study Center in Rajinder Nagar, Delhi, the MCD administration has taken action. The MCD has sealed 13 coaching centres in the area.
Today, the police have arrested five more individuals. Previously, the owner and coordinator of the coaching centre had been arrested. In total, seven people have been arrested in this case so far.
Delhi LG meets students
Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena also visited the incident site in Old Rajinder Nagar today. He provided directives to the officials and spoke with the protesting students, assuring them of strict action in the case.
5 bulldozers sent to clear encroachment
Today, five bulldozers were sent to clear encroachments around the coaching institute. In this process, the Delhi Municipal Corporation team arrived at the Rau’s IAS Study Center. Reports indicate that before the bulldozer action, the MCD sought permission from the Delhi Police, which was granted.

Jr engineer dismissed, assistant engineer suspended
It is also reported that the administration has dismissed the junior engineer and suspended the assistant engineer.
Additionally, the police have seized the SUV vehicle that caused the coaching centre’s gate to break due to the flow of water after it passed by.
Officials evade questions
Officials who arrived in the area to clear encroachments were seen avoiding questions from journalists. When asked why encroachment removal actions were not taken before the accident, they did not provide a response.
In protest against the incident, students are continuously demonstrating on the streets.
Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Aam Aadmi Party are staging protests against each other on the streets.
