Jharkhand News: Medininagar Municipal Corporation holds health camp for sanitation workers

Daltonganj, September 23: The Medininagar Municipal Corporation held a modest health camp on Tuesday under the aegis of Swachhata Hi Sewa 2025, a fortnight-long drive beginning September 17, at its Chhoumuhan office.

Corporation’s two doctors, Shreya Soni and Nitesh Kumar, were in attendance here in the health camp.

Two city managers, Samita Bhagat and Dilip Kumar, along with the team comprising Paramjeet Singh, Rekha Toppo, Rupa Kumari, Mani Kumari and Shahid oversaw the entire proceedings of the health camp.

Availability of the medicines was genuinely normal, with even medicines for diabetes and high blood pressure. Syrups for cold and cough were there too.

Outlining the feature of such a health camp, city manager Samita Bhagat said, “We have a fleet of 315 safai mitras. Our safai mitras work in extremely high-risk environment, and so we take utmost care of their health.”

There is a constant thrust for the safai mitra suraksha as the Nagar Nigam leans over them for all that makes the corporation’s wards neat and clean.

The urban issues are monitored by city mission manager Satish Kumar.

Sources said that although this health camp was primarily for the sanitation workers and their dependants, nevertheless, the footfall of the health publication was really a welcome.
