Daltonganj, March 28: Medical Superintendent of the MMCH Daltonganj Dr Ajay Kumar accompanied by the Hospital Manager Sunit Srivastav visited the prize winning Community Health Centre (CHC) at Chainpur and got apprised of the facilities available there in the background of the internship of the medical boys and girls.

The National Medical Commission has launched Compulsory Rotating Internship Regulations for every medical graduate for which the CHC at Chainpur, a rural government health hub is tagged to the MMCH Daltonganj while Urban Primary Health Centre in Daltonganj is tagged to the MMCH Daltonganj as government urban health hub.
Internship Roles and Hands-on Training
Medical officer in charge of the Chainpur CHC Dr Chaman Bhardwaj told this correspondent, “Persons undergoing internship carry out medical duties in the Out-Patient Department (OPD), immunisation, malnutrition treatment centre etc.”

“We understand the Medical Superintendent Dr Ajay Kumar wanted to have a first hand look at the tagged government rural health hub and government urban health hub” opined Dr Bhardwaj.

Kitchen Garden Enhancing Nutrition Services
The kitchen garden of the CHC at Chainpur is a cynosure of all. Here the CHC Chainpur personnel grow onion, tomato, garlic, banana, coriander, papaya etc. It caters to the kitchen need of the malnutrition treatment centre as well as for mothers having normal deliveries here.
Hospital Manager MMCH Sunit Srivastav said, “The Medical Superintendent Dr Ajay Kumar was too impressed by the kitchen garden of the CHC at Chainpur.”

Urban Primary Health Centre Visit
The Urban Primary Health Centre in Daltonganj was also visited by the Medical Superintendent Dr Ajay Kumar where he took note of the facilities available there.
Civil Surgeon Dr Anil Kumar said, “We wish young and upcoming medical boys and girls to do internship in all sincerity and dedication as it is their first step towards making a successful entry into the world of healing the sick and ailing.”
