Jamshedpur, Jan 13: On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the source of inspiration for the youth, a grand event was organized at Sakchi main roundabout under the aegis of “Naman” on Sunday.
Many dignitaries and a large number of women and youth were present at the function. The program began with the lighting of the lamp and offering flowers to the pictures of Mother India and Swami Vivekananda.
Amarpreet Singh Kale, founder of philanthropic outfit Naman, who was presiding over the program on this occasion, said that the life of Swami Vivekananda is a source of inspiration for all of us.

“His thoughts made every section of the society aware and gave a new direction to all of us. We should serve the country by following his principles. We should fulfil our responsibilities by adopting his ideas. His life teaches us that only with self-confidence can change be brought about in the society,” said Kale, also the state BJP spokesperson, addressing a large gathering.

Chief guest Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato said, Swami Vivekananda infused strength among the youth through his teachings and gave the message that believe in yourself, you can overcome any difficulty.
“Swami Vivekanand’s thoughts are relevant for us even today,” he said.
Special guest, Jugsalai MLA Mangal Kalindi said that Swami Vivekananda presented the culture and pride of India at the global level.
He said, “We should move forward by connecting with our roots. We should give a new direction to our society by following his thoughts.”
On this occasion, Congress leader Ramashray Prasad, Ajay Singh, CGPC chief Bhagwan Singh, Jharkhand Gurdwara Management Committee’s Shailendra Singh, former DSP Kamal Kishore, senior journalist Brij Bhushan Singh, senior BJP leaders Shailendra Singh, Binod Singh, Tata Motors Works Union President Gurmeet. Singh Tote, General Secretary RK Singh, senior journalist Jaiprakash Rai, social worker Shiv Shankar Singh, BJP leader Bobby Singh, Chandeshwar Khan, Balwinder Singh of Ex-Sainik Seva Parishad, former Mahila Morcha President Neeru Singh and many prominent people of steel city were present.
