New Delhi, August 20: NDA’s Vice Presidential candidate C.P. Radhakrishnan filed his nomination papers today, August 20, as per schedule. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, along with other NDA leaders, were present on the occasion.
PM Modi handed over four sets of nomination papers to Rajya Sabha Secretary General (Returning Officer) P.C. Mody. Notably, PM Modi, Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, and JD(U) leader Rajiv Ranjan Singh are the principal proposers in these sets of nomination papers.

After the Returning Officer scrutinized the documents, C.P. Radhakrishnan signed the register. The acknowledgement slip of the nomination papers was then handed over by the Returning Officer to PM Modi.

Following the filing, PM Modi, Amit Shah, Union Ministers Pralhad Joshi and Dharmendra Pradhan, TDP leader and Union Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu, Shiv Sena leader Shrikant Shinde, and LJP leader Chirag Paswan accompanied Radhakrishnan to the Returning Officer’s office in Parliament House.

Earlier in the day, Radhakrishnan paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and other national leaders at the Prerna Sthal in the Parliament complex.
