New Delhi, Sept 8: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday carried out a coordinated crackdown across multiple states and Jammu and Kashmir as part of its probe into a terror conspiracy case.
Acting on intelligence inputs, NIA teams, assisted by state police, searched 22 locations linked to individuals suspected of association with anti-national groups.
Officials said the operation spanned eight sites in Bihar, nine in Jammu and Kashmir, two in Uttar Pradesh, and one each in Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu.

The searches were launched simultaneously to prevent any advance warning or information leaks.
The case, filed earlier this year under RC-1/2025/NIA/CHE, was transferred to the NIA by the Ministry of Home Affairs owing to its potential impact on national security.
Investigators believe the suspected network was working to spread instability and disrupt public order across the country.
