THE JHARKHAND STORY DESK

New Delhi, Nov 28: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) team is conducting raids across the country in a human trafficking case. According to sources, the NIA is carrying out search operations at 22 locations in six states since Thursday morning.

The NIA’s search operation is ongoing with separate teams working in close coordination with state police forces. The operation, targeting the disruption of an organized trafficking network, was conducted at the homes of suspects based on detailed intelligence.

Official sources report that the raids took place across several states, targeting individuals and organizations believed to be involved in trafficking vulnerable people.

A criminal network involved in trafficking for illicit objectives, such as forced labour and exploitation, is the subject of these coordinated searches.

The NIA has assumed control of the case from the local police. The case is said to involve the trafficking of men, women, and children both across state borders and potentially internationally.
