New Delhi, Dec 12: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out searches at 19 locations across Jammu and Kashmir, Assam, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat as part of an ongoing probe into a case involving the radicalization of individuals linked to the banned terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).
The raids, targeting the hideouts of suspects, began early in the morning.
The operation is centred on curbing the spread of terrorist propaganda and combating extremist activities.

The new searches, carried out this morning, were prompted by leads obtained from questioning Sheikh Sultan Salah Uddin Ayubi alias Ayubi who was arrested two months ago in another NIA raid and reviewing evidence against the suspects whose premises were raided in October.
