New Delhi, Sept 24: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at 12 locations in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday as part of an ongoing investigation against the pan-Islamic organization Hizb-ut-Tahrir.
Notably, the Chennai police have registered a case against the organization. In June, the anti-terror agency NIA arrested two individuals linked to this radical organization.
Experts suggest that Hizb-ut-Tahrir aims to establish an Islamic caliphate in India. The organization’s network spans across several countries.
