New Delhi, June 30: BJP MP from Godda (Jharkhand), Nishikant Dubey, has levelled serious allegations against the Congress party, claiming that over 150 Congress MPs operated as agents receiving funding from Soviet Russia under the leadership of late Congress leader HKL Bhagat.
Posting on X, Dubey based his claims on a document released by the US intelligence agency CIA in 2011.
Dubey further alleged that a group of journalists also worked as agents. He mentioned that around 16,000 news articles were allegedly published under Russian influence. His post accused certain journalists of acting as brokers and claimed Russian-sponsored propaganda had infiltrated Indian media.

In another claim, Dubey said that Congress candidate Subhadra Joshi had allegedly taken ₹5 lakh from the German government in the name of contesting the Lok Sabha elections. After losing, she became chairperson of the Indo-German Forum.
