Weather Systems in Play

Two prominent weather systems are contributing to this unstable weather pattern:

Sona Devi University

*  A trough in the westerlies, extending from Sikkim to North Odisha across West Bengal and Jharkhand, lies at an altitude between 3.1 and 5.8 Km above mean sea level.

* Another trough is present from a cyclonic circulation over East Madhya Pradesh to Gangetic West Bengal, passing through Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand, and extends up to 1.5 Km above mean sea level.

Weathermen issued an appeal asking people to stay indoors during thunderstorms, secure loose objects, and follow updates from local authorities and weather agencies.
