NPU cricket team trounces JMM Yuva Morcha team in Daltonganj

The winning team of the NPU, with Chandan (in black), the highest scorer, defeated the JMM Yuva Morcha team in the fancy cricket match today in Daltonganj.

Daltonganj, Dec. 17: In a fancy cricket match between the JMM Yuva Morcha Palamu and the Nilamber Pitamber University, held today in the GLA college ground, the NPU team routed the JMM Yuva Morcha by ten wickets.

The JMM Yuva Morcha elected to bat first and built up a grand score of 105 runs. Amrit of the Morcha played outstanding innings by scoring 66 runs.

It was a massive target for the NPU team to score 106 runs. NPU’s Chandan and Shubham played outstanding cricket. Chandan, in just one over, scored three sixes. In all, Chandan made 4 sixes. Sources said Chandan and Shubham took the NPU to score 106 runs with no wicket loss.

The modest crowd hailed the batting of Chandan very much. He played shots with the ease and finesse of an experienced cricketer.

Chandan and Shubham remained on the crease till the NPU team lifted the wickets after scoring 106.

The opening pair of Chandan and Shubham offered good and lovely cricket. Chandan remained not out at 51, while Shubham remained not out at 47. The rest of the runs came from the wide and extra.
