New Delhi, Feb 7: Speaker of the Lok Sabha Om Birla declared on Wednesday that the Parliament’s Budget Session has been extended by one day, until February 10.

‘White paper’ on Indian economy pre and post-BJP rule
Pralhad Joshi, the minister of Parliamentary Affairs, stated on Tuesday that the government would present a ‘white paper’ contrasting the conditions of the Indian economy prior to and following the BJP’s succeeding the Congress in 2014.

The sources had stated that it was thought necessary to prolong the session’s duration by one day due to the agenda items that included the Finance Bill, budget discussion, demand for grants and white paper that still needed to be tabled.
Finance Minister will present ‘white paper’ in LS and RS
The ‘white paper’, which will be presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, will discuss how the current government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, turned around the nation’s dire economic situation when the Congress-led UPA left power.
The Finance Minister will introduce it in both the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha.
