New Delhi, Dec 9: Addressing the NDA parliamentary party meeting at the Parliament premises on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that after Bihar, it is now Bengal’s turn, noting that the Ganga flows from Bihar towards Bengal.

Reflecting on the NDA’s historic Bihar victory, he called it a testament to the alliance’s unity and strong leadership, praising Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as the architect of this success.

PM Modi urged MPs to prepare for the 2026 West Bengal assembly elections, saying that the Bihar win had doubled the NDA’s energy and emphasizing the need to intensify the wave of change in Bengal.

He also advised that with great victories come greater responsibilities, directing MPs to remain active in their constituencies, stay connected with the people, and ensure central government schemes reach citizens effectively.

The Prime Minister further highlighted that the country is now moving forward in a full-fledged ‘Reform Express’ phase, with rapid, intentional reforms that are citizen-centric rather than purely economic or revenue-focused.

He emphasized the government’s commitment to removing everyday hurdles so that people can achieve their full potential, stressing initiatives such as doorstep service delivery, elimination of repeated paperwork, and reducing long, cumbersome forms.

Recalling the government’s decade-long trust in citizens through self-certification measures, PM Modi said this approach has worked successfully without misuse. He stressed that both “Ease of Life” and “Ease of Doing Business” remain top priorities of the Modi-led NDA government.
