New Delhi/Ranchi, May 23: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited youth in various government departments and organisations under the 19th edition of the Rozgar Mela held across 47 locations in the country.

In Jharkhand, 132 candidates received appointment letters during a programme organised in Ranchi, while 25 candidates were symbolically handed appointment letters on stage.

Prime Minister Modi joined the event through video conferencing and addressed the newly appointed youth across the country.

PM Modi Highlights Youth Role in Viksit Bharat

Addressing the appointees, the Prime Minister said India’s youth are playing a major role in accelerating the country’s journey towards becoming a “Viksit Bharat” by 2047.

“Rozgar Mela reflects our Government’s commitment to empowering the Yuva Shakti with new opportunities,” PM Modi said.

He added that global companies and world leaders are increasingly eager to partner with India due to the country’s young demographic profile and technological progress.

“The world wants to be a part of India’s development journey,” he said.

Focus on Jobs in Technology and Manufacturing Sectors

The Prime Minister highlighted India’s growing partnerships in sectors such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, green energy, critical minerals and sustainable manufacturing.

He said these investments and global collaborations are creating fresh employment opportunities for Indian youth.

“This investment is creating millions of new employment opportunities for the country’s youth,” Modi said.

He also referred to the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme and India’s expanding semiconductor ecosystem as major employment generators.

Ranchi Event Attended by Sanjay Seth, CP Singh

The Rozgar Mela programme in Ranchi was attended by Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, MLA CP Singh and Ranchi DRM Karuna Nidhi Singh.

Addressing the gathering, Sanjay Seth said the appointment letters symbolised the hard work and dedication of the youth.

“This is not just a piece of paper, but the result of the hard work of our youth,” he said.

The minister said that earlier appointment letters used to reach candidates through routine procedures, but today the Prime Minister himself is directly interacting with and encouraging newly recruited youth.

‘Youth Will Be Brand Ambassadors of Viksit Bharat’

Sanjay Seth said that when the Rozgar Mela campaign began, many people doubted whether lakhs of youth could receive appointment letters through a transparent recruitment process.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi is fulfilling his promises, and all those receiving appointment letters today are fortunate,” he said.

He added that the youth of the country would act as “brand ambassadors” in achieving the goal of a developed India by 2047.

Infrastructure, Startups and Rural Development in Focus

In his address, PM Modi also highlighted the government’s investment in railways, highways, ports, airports and digital infrastructure, saying rapid transformation is now visible even in rural areas.

“Enhanced connectivity has opened new avenues for farmers, small traders and students,” he said.

The Prime Minister further noted that India has emerged as the world’s third-largest startup ecosystem, with increasing participation from youth in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.
