At their meeting with the Prime Minister, the Indian team wore a special jersey adorned with two stars above the BCCI emblem to signify their two T20 World Cup victories. The word ‘CHAMPIONS’ was prominently displayed in bold letters on the jersey.

After the meeting, the victorious cricketers headed to Delhi airport for a 2 pm flight to Mumbai, where they will take part in a grand victory parade at Marine Drive and a felicitation ceremony at Wankhede Stadium. The open bus parade is set to begin at 5 pm, followed by the celebratory event at the stadium.

In the early morning today, the T20 World Cup-winning Indian team arrived in Delhi to a warm reception from fans who had been eagerly waiting to see their heroes and the trophy.

The squad, support staff, families, and media were stranded in Barbados due to Hurricane Beryl, a Category 4 storm that caused Grantley Adams International Airport to close for three days. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah arranged a flight that departed on July 2 and arrived in Delhi at 6:00 AM on Thursday, with board officials and media members also on board.

India clinched their second ICC T20 World Cup trophy with a thrilling seven-run win over South Africa in the final on Saturday. Virat Kohli’s masterful 76 guided India to a total of 176/7, while Hardik Pandya (3/20), Arshdeep Singh (2/20) and Jasprit Bumrah (2/18) combined forces to restrict South Africa to 169/8 despite a blistering 52 from Heinrich Klaasen.
