THE JHARKHAND STORY DESK

New Delhi, Feb 6: PM Modi today responded to the discussion on the President’s address in the Rajya Sabha, stating that the speech was both inspiring and impactful, serving as a guiding force for all.

Taking a dig at the Congress, he remarked that expecting anything from them would be a big mistake, as it is beyond their thinking and does not align with their roadmap. Mocking the party, he added that such a large organization has completely devoted itself to one family.

Congress dedicated to only one family

Prime Minister Modi stated that the Congress model has always prioritized “Family First.” He emphasized that the people of the country have given his government a third consecutive term, indicating their evaluation, understanding, and support for the development model. He asserted that, in one word, NDA’s model is “Nation First.”

PM Modi accused Congress of following a political model based on “lies, corruption, family and appeasement.”

“Expecting ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ from Congress will be a huge mistake. It is beyond their thinking and it also doesn’t suit their roadmap because the whole party is dedicated only to one family,” he said.

“In Congress model, the first thing is Family First”. Their energy was spent on this,” he added.

NDA govt works for “shantushtikaran”

The Prime Minister remarked that after 2014, India embraced an alternative governance model that is “not focused on appeasement, but on satisfaction.”

He said the BJP-led NDA government works for “shantushtikaran” (total saturation) and not “tushtikaran”.

Support for OBC Commission and reservation for EWS

Referring to the constitutional status granted to the OBC Commission, PM Modi emphasized that their honor and dignity are of utmost importance. He stated that whenever the issue of reservation arose in the country, divisive tactics were used.

PM said that for the first time, his government introduced a model that provided 10% reservation to the economically weaker sections of the general category without causing any conflict or taking away anyone’s rights.

He added that SC, ST, and OBC communities also welcomed this decision, and no one opposed it, as the entire nation accepted it.

Congress’ history of destabilizing Opposition Govts

Attacking the Congress, PM Modi said that a look at its political history reveals how it destabilized several opposition-led governments. Whenever a government of any other political party was formed, Congress worked to weaken it. He stated that the consequences of such policies have led to the party’s current state.

Despite being the country’s oldest party, with roots in the freedom movement, Congress finds itself in decline. He added that if the party had focused on strengthening itself rather than undermining others, it would not have reached this situation.

Congress disregarded Ambedkar

PM Modi attacked Congress for disregarding Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s vision, stating that despite being in power for years, the party never reflected on his ideas. He highlighted Ambedkar’s advocacy for the upliftment of SCs and STs, emphasizing industrialization as the key to their progress.

Modi highlighted Congress’ deep-rooted resentment towards Ambedkar, citing their attempts to defeat him in elections and their refusal to honor him with the Bharat Ratna. He also remarked that while Congress now reluctantly says “Jai Bhim,” the party is known for its quick and convenient shifts in stance.
