New Delhi, May 11: Home Minister Amit Shah today said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will “lead the country till 2029” and there is “no confusion in the party regarding this matter”.
Reacting to the prediction made by Arvind Kejriwal that Modi will retire after he turns 75 next year, Amit Shah said, “Nothing as such is mentioned in BJP’s constitution”.
“I want to say this to Arvind Kejriwal and company and INDI alliance that nothing as such is mentioned in BJP’s constitution. PM Modi is only going to complete this tenure and PM Modi will continue to lead the country in future. There is no confusion in BJP,” said Amit Shah.
What did Kejriwal say?
“These people ask the INDIA bloc about their face. I asked the BJP who would be their PM. Modi ji is turning 75 on September 17 next year. He had made the rule that people aged 75 would be retired. They retired LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Sumitra Mahajan.”
“PM Modi will retire next year.. Will Shah fulfill Modiji”s guarantee?” he asked.
