Saran, May 21: In Bihar’s Saran district on Tuesday morning, there was post-election violence that left one person dead and three injured, according to police.
They stated that the incident occurred in the Bada Telma area near Bhikhari Thakur Chowk.
Shots were fired following a fight between two groups, said to be BJP and RJD supporters, over claims of anomalies during Monday’s polling in the area.
A police officer reported that one person was killed instantly, and three others were injured.

He added that the deceased was identified as 25-year-old Chandan Yadav.
Internet suspended in Saran
Superintendent of Police Gaurav Mangla stated, “The injured persons were admitted to the nearest hospital. Later, two of them were sent to Patna for better treatment.”
“A case has been registered and an investigation is underway. Three persons have been arrested in connection with today’s incident,” the SP added.
He added that the internet was also suspended in the district to prevent any escalation.
