New Delhi, Dec 6: On the 69th death anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar — the chief architect of the Indian Constitution and one of the nation’s greatest social reformers — President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi paid tributes at Parliament House on Saturday.
Upon the arrival of President Murmu at Parliament, she was formally received by Vice President Radhakrishnan and Prime Minister Modi. The President then offered floral tributes at the Ambedkar Memorial and remembered his contributions.

Vice President Radhakrishnan and Prime Minister Modi also paid their respects to Dr. Ambedkar on his death anniversary, calling his work in Constitution drafting and social justice “historic.”

Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi also offered tributes to Dr. Ambedkar. On this occasion, he said Dr. Ambedkar was an icon who guided the nation and gave India its Constitution. “That is why we remember him and safeguard his ideas and the Constitution,” he said.
Rahul Gandhi further remarked that the Constitution is under threat for every Indian, and every citizen is committed to protecting it.
Several leaders and dignitaries were present in the Parliament complex to express their respect and gratitude to Babasaheb on his death anniversary.
