Patna, March 18: Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi, along with her son, MLA Tej Pratap Yadav, today appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning in the ongoing land-for-jobs money laundering investigation.

The ED had previously summoned Devi’s husband and RJD president Lalu Prasad Yadav for questioning, with Lalu scheduled to appear before the agency in Patna on Wednesday.

66-year-old Rabri Devi arrived at the ED office on Bank Road with her eldest daughter and Patliputra MP Misa Bharti.

Their arrival was met by hundreds of RJD supporters who gathered outside the office, chanting slogans in support of the family. Tej Pratap Yadav also presented himself for questioning.

The fresh round of questioning follows the emergence of additional facts in the case, sources stated.

The ED’s investigation is based on a CBI complaint and centers on allegations that Lalu Prasad, while serving as Railway Minister in the UPA-1 government, facilitated corruption by trading land for jobs within the Indian Railways between 2004 and 2009.

The ED’s charge sheet filed last year names Rabri Devi, Misa Bharti, and Hema Yadav among the accused, alongside other individuals.
