Jamshedpur, July 10: In a significant development in the high-profile Himanshu Singh murder case, named accused Rahul Dubey surrendered before the police at Bistupur police station on Friday afternoon.
Dubey walked into the police station at around 1 pm and was immediately taken into custody for intensive questioning.
Investigators have begun examining Dubey’s alleged role in the murder, his presence at the crime scene and his links with the other accused.
Police are also trying to establish his movements before and after the incident and ascertain his alleged involvement in the conspiracy.
According to police sources, investigators are questioning Dubey to determine the extent of his participation in the crime and his association with the accused who have already been arrested or surrendered in connection with the case.
Surrender follows sustained police action
Dubey’s surrender comes amid growing speculation that sustained police action and mounting pressure on the accused prompted him to turn himself in.
However, police officials have refrained from commenting on the reason behind his surrender, saying a clearer picture will emerge only after the interrogation is completed.
Investigation continues

Investigators believe Dubey’s surrender could prove to be another crucial breakthrough in the probe and may help unravel key aspects of the alleged conspiracy.
