Dhanbad, Sept 29: Following the assault on doctors at Ranchi Sadar Hospital, the Jharkhand State Health Services Association (JSHSA) has appealed to the state Health Minister and Chief Minister to implement the Medical Protection Act (MPA) across Jharkhand.
Dr. Thakur Mritunjay Kumar Singh, JSHSA State Secretary, said the incident has created panic among doctors, and only the MPA can provide them a sense of security. “We urge the government to implement the MPA in the interest of ensuring smooth healthcare services in the state,” he added.

JSHSA Guidance for Doctors
JSHSA President Dr. Bilesh Kumar and Secretary Dr. Thakur Mritunjay Kumar Singh stated that the association had previously advised district units to handle such rowdy elements promptly.
“Strikes are not a solution, as the majority of patients suffer due to the actions of a few attendants. Doctors should address the situation until the MPA is implemented,” they said.
