Mumbai, Oct 10: Ratan Naval Tata, honorary chairman of Tata Sons, was cremated with full state honours today. His funeral procession started from the National Centre for the Performing Arts Hall in Mumbai, drawing a large crowd. The cremation took place at the Worli crematorium in Mumbai.

The funeral was conducted in accordance with Parsi customs, and he was cremated at an electric crematorium.

He passed away late on Wednesday night at around 11 PM at the age of 86. He had been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, where he was battling age-related illnesses.

Ratan Tata’s mortal remains were kept at the National Centre for the Performing Arts Hall in Mumbai this morning at 10 AM for people to pay their last respects. Until 3:30 PM, many came to offer their tributes.

Several prominent figures from politics, sports, and business, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel, Mukesh Ambani, and Kumar Mangalam Birla, paid homage to Tata. From there, his final journey proceeded to the Worli crematorium.
