RSSDI Jharkhand to hold 5th annual diabetes conference in Deoghar

Deoghar, January 6: The 5th annual conference of the Research Society for Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI), Jharkhand chapter, will be held from January 9 to 11 at Maiher Garden Resort, Jaisidih Road, Deoghar.

Organising Secretary Dr Gauri Shankar said the three-day conference, titled JHCON 2026, will see participation from over 300 RSSDI members from Jharkhand and 28 leading diabetes experts from across the country. The conference will focus on key and emerging issues related to diabetes, often referred to as a “silent killer”.

National and State Leaders to Participate

Several senior office-bearers of RSSDI will address the conference, including RSSDI National President Dr Vijay Vishwanathan, Vice-President Dr N.K. Singh (Dhanbad), National Executive Member Dr Anil Virmani, RSSDI Jharkhand Chapter President Dr Vinay Dhandhania (Ranchi), and State Secretary Dr Ajay Patwari.

28 Diabetes Experts from Across India

Dr Gauri Shankar said experts from different parts of the country will speak on a wide range of diabetes-related topics. Prominent speakers include:

Dr Anuj Maheshwari (Lucknow), Dr Sanjay Agrawal (Pune), Dr Santosh Kumar (Patna), Dr Anil Virmani (Jamshedpur), Dr Sunil Gupta (Nagpur), Dr Brij Mohan (Kanpur), Dr N.K. Singh (Dhanbad), Dr Arvinda (Bangalore), Dr Jayant Panda (Odisha), Dr Pratap Jethwani (Rajkot), Dr Vinod Mittal (Delhi), Dr Vijay Patni (Kolkata), Dr Subash Kumar (Patna), Dr Hridish Chakravorty (Kolkata), Dr Saibal Guha (Patna), Dr Pankaj Singhania (Purulia), Dr D.B.K. Singh (Aurangabad), Dr Mohsin Alam (Hyderabad), Dr Satrajit Roy (Asansol), Dr Supratik Bhattacharya (Kolkata), Dr Sujadeep Sengupta (Delhi), Dr Kavita Singh Gupta (Nagpur), Dr Nitin Kumar (Vellore), Dr Laxmi Nagendra (Mysore), Dr Shivshankar (Mumbai), Dr Sunetra Mondal (Kolkata) and Dr D.P. Singh (Bhagalpur).

Organising Committee Announced

To ensure the smooth conduct of the conference, a six-member organising committee has been formed. It includes Dr R.N. Prasad (Organising President), Dr Gauri Shankar (Organising Secretary), Dr Ajay Chhabra, Ranchi (Chairman-Elect), Dr Saurabh Sinha (Vice-President), Dr Abhinav Kumar (Co-Organising Secretary), and Dr Nishant Chourasia (Treasurer).
