Russian President Vladimir Putin receives 21-gun salute at Rashtrapati Bhavan

New Delhi, Dec 5: On the first day of his two-day visit to India, Russian President Vladimir Putin was accorded a 21-gun salute at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Friday.

He also received a ceremonial Guard of Honour in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu.

Following the ceremony, President Putin visited Rajghat to pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi. He then proceeded to Hyderabad House, where PM Modi welcomed him with grandeur.

The two leaders are scheduled to participate in the 23rd India-Russia Summit.
