Lucknow, Feb 27: In the midst of rumours about potential cross-voting during the Rajya Sabha election, Manoj Kumar Pandey, a prominent MLA and leader of the Samajwadi Party, has stepped down from his position as the Chief Whip of the party.

As he was about to meet with Uttar Pradesh Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh, SP MLA Manoj Kumar Pandey remarked, “I have requested the party chief to accept my resignation from the post of Chief Whip.”

Following his meeting with the Samajwadi Party MLA, Uttar Pradesh Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh stated that the MLA is a proponent of Sanatan Dharma.

“Many public representatives are joining the BJP due to being influenced by PM Modi’s policies and the development that is happening in the country. Manoj Pandey ji has always been a supporter of Sanatan Dharma, he has been giving equal statements on this issue inside and outside the House. That’s why he was unhappy there and when the proposal came for the darshan of Ram ji, he wanted everyone to go for darshan,” Dayashankar Singh stated.

At the polling station in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath departed after participating in the Rajya Sabha elections and casting his vote, visibly displaying a sign of confidence by gesturing victory.

Akhilesh Yadav, the head of the Samajwadi Party, also participated in the voting process for the election.
