Ranchi. Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar today said the actor of small screen TV serial “Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain”, Vijay Singh, will soon be appointed State Icon for election-related awareness work in the state of Jharkhand. Singh met the CEO today.

Vijay Singh, who hails from Hazaribag Jharkhand, is seen teaching values to people in the role of Sanskaari Master Ji in the serial “Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain”. Now he will cooperate as a state icon for voter awareness in Jharkhand.

On this occasion, actor Vijay Singh said that he is happy that he will be able to help in making the people of his home state aware of voting and increase the voting percentage in the state.

He said that till the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, he will continue to make people aware and motivated for voter registration and voting through his audio-video messages.

Notably, Vijay is a resident of Loisukwar village of Keredari in Hazaribag. He did his schooling at DAV Rajrappa and graduated from Marwari College, Ranchi.

He took acting as a career after graduating from the National School of Drama, New Delhi. The TV serials he has worked on included Chidiya Ghar, Lapataganj etc. He has also worked in some other films including Lage Raho Munna Bhai. But he got his real identity from the serial Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai.
