Jamshedpur, April 3: South Eastern Railway (SER) has set new records and surpassed its previous achievements during the financial year 2024-25.
SER has completed the financial year 2024-25 with a record freight loading of 212.37 Million Tonnes. This is the highest-ever freight loading performance of South Eastern Railway.
In comparison to the previous year, SER has registered a growth of 0.36% in originating freight loading.
Chakradharpur Division and Adra Division have also excelled in freight transportation and achieved the best ever loading performance.

Chakradharpur Division has loaded 154.04 Million Tonnes which is 3.25 % more than the last financial year.
Adra Division has loaded 29.12 Million Tonnes which is 4.16% more than the last financial year.
Revenue generation from freight loading by South Eastern Railway during 2024-25 is Rs. 18,949.83 cores (approx).
In this outstanding freight loading performance SER has also achieved the following milestones:
- Best ever loading in a day (31st March 2025) -1.78 Million Tonnes, 30.9% more than the earlier best.
- Fastest 200 Million Tonnes loading in 349 days (on 15.03.2025)
- Best-ever Coal loading – 55.56 Million Tonnes, 4.23% more than the last financial year.
- Best-ever Container Loading this year – 2.43 Million Tonnes, 44.8% more than the last financial year.
- Best-ever Fertilizer Loading this year – 0.92 Million Tonnes, 16.2 % more than the last financial year.
